Abigail made a sacred vow before her husband passed, a vow she could never, would never, break. But life hasn’t been easy without him by her side, and her children grow and change more with every passing day. Sometimes it feels like the world is passing her by, like she’ll be lonely forever.
Amanda thinks Abigail’s husband, as perfect as he may have been, was wrong to ask what he did. She thinks it’s time for Abigail to move on, but Amanda has problems of her own to tackle that make it hard to preach. Her business is flailing and her daughters are spinning out of control. Every single time Abigail’s children win another award and ace another test, it twists the dagger of past hurt a little more.
Can these two sister-in-laws-turned-friends help one another see the value of honoring the past while also moving into the future with grace and hope?

Love this series
I really enjoyed continuing this story,,,,the characters are brave and bonding together to build a family bond against all odds. I am a bit sad that it’s taking 3 or more books to find out if they get it inherit,,,,and that only the first book was offered free by kindle,,,,that’s not cool.
Okay. I just breezed through this book because I couldn’t out it down. This whole series is just like one huge book. I’d stoped reading Women’s Fiction a while back because I prefer romance but this series is just so good! I totally wasn’t expecting a third woman to be added to the mix and so many things happen in this book and I’m just hanging on for the ride! I love the life and parenting tips I get from Baker’s writing. I laughed and I gasped. I cannot wait to start the next book. Like, literally, I’m going to start it right now.
I have two books in the Birch Creek series and just purchased book #3 in the series! I am enjoying reading about two different women put in a position that they must work together for a common goal!Their children's inheritance!
Nice easy read. Nice to not have a killing, fights murder mystery. Sister-in-law laws both having lost their husbands raising children on own. All dealing with lots of changes. Continuation of book one the Bequest- heartwarming.
