The Ranch

I have read the first three books in the series, and am on the fence about continuing the rest of the series. These are definitely not stand-alone, so make sure you start with book 1 - and consider drawing family trees to keep track of the family systems. ;-)Likes:- Ranch/Mountain West setting- Effort to focus on healthy female relationships- Romances- Animals- Kids- Single parenting struggles- Different point of viewsDislikes:- Minor bot noticeable inconsistencies (ex: type of vehicle one of main characters drives from one book to next)- Lack of growth in character over time - lack of growth in one book of series would be understandable, but no growth over three books is disappointing as a reader.- The influencer arc doesn't appeal to me, but I can see how it may appeal to a different generation- A little too much "damsel in distress" theme - when I think of women living in a rural Mountain West state, I think of women who, even if they were not raised there, learn to develop a certain level of independence and self-sufficiency. There is a way to do this while still embracing romance.- While I appreciate the effort to capture healthy female relationships, I feel there are many gaps to fully developing these into a sense of "strong female tribe"- Different point of views

These books keep taking us deeper and deeper into life. Our characters faced some very hard challenges in this book. I love the wisdom and encouragement that I can find within these pages – both for parenting and for life. I highlight so many things so that I can return to them for these pieces of wisdom. This women’s fiction series is unlike any other that I have read. I adore the real characters and real challenges but also the wisdom with which some of the characters make their decisions and the issues that they have to overcome – both personal and outside their locus of control. I am immediately heading over to binge the next book. And, of course, I am staying up way, way too late – or early – reading these books. There is sweet romance woven into the pages of these books, but it is not the main focus.

I love this series. Each new book is just wonderful, and I can't wait for the next book, to follow Abby and Amanda's new adventures.

I loved this book by B.E.Baker and can't wait to read the rest of the series. In this book, Amanda is seeing Eddy secretly, but it comes out about his past. Abigail finds out what really happened but not before the Ama da loses her job. I love Donna's storyline and can't wait to find out what happens. I stayed up way too late reading this.

love the joining of the previous books. Meeting fears and the unknowns for not only the grown ups but also your children. The love of a Mother for child no matter age is unmatched. A feel good story with happiest of endings.
