Life gave her lemons, so Trudy chucked them back.

Trudy’s life is a wreck. No job, a sick son, and a thick stack of unpaid medical bills.

Her family and friends keep trying to set her up. (As if a man will solve all her problems!) Trudy shuts them all down, because she’s got a foolproof plan this time around. She won’t go out for so much as a latte until she graduates, finds steady work, and pays off all her debt.

After weeks of looking, she finally lands a paying job. It’s only an interim assistant position, but it comes with medical insurance. Everything is going exactly according to plan.

Until she discovers someone is stealing from her new boss. Trudy reluctantly agrees to help him catch the thief—after all, if the business fails, she’s out of work—but it grows harder and harder to ignore one tiny detail. Her boss is hotter than a summer day in Atlanta, and he’s flirting with her.

But she will not be distracted from what really matters, not this time. She already learned her lesson the hard way—he isn’t Mr. Right if you meet him at the wrong time. Can she stay the course? Or will she find that sometimes the best things in life aren’t on the checklist?

I liked it but a little unrealistic, even for me

I enjoyed reading this book, although, I thought it was a little too far-fetched. I don't think I'm giving anything away when I say it's a 'happily ever after.' It was too over-the-top perfect. Both sisters end up marrying multi-millionaire brothers. These two sisters grew up with practically no parenting (their mother abandoned them when they were four and eight, and the father is a dysfunctional drunk). How did they survive as children? Trudy was a little over-board with her independence and her list to be completed before she started dating again, even when this kind, handsome, wealthy, successful man loved her. But I liked the story enough to give it a 4-star rating. It just wasn't one of those books that I was eager to get back to. I knew all along how it would end. The little boy, Troy, was an adorable character, and I liked the bit about him watering the dead plant on the front porch. It comes into play near the end. Cute story, but I'm not going to read any more in the series.

lovely story

Trudy and Paul’s story is complete in this volume. I have read 2 of the earlier books in the series and you can understand this story without having read the others. It is sweet but the authors writing and words let you know the feelings that are building between the 2 without being graphic. There is a mystery to be solved as part of the plot along with mistaken identities.

Great read

This is a perfect fun and engaging read. I loved the story of Trudy (Gerty) and Paul (Jack) and of course the happily ever after. The story line was wonderful and kept me turning the page, and sad when it was over. It wad pure enjoyment from beginning to the end. Can't wait to read more in this series.

Another stunning romance

Better than a fairy tale or Hallmark movie, this series captivates and touches the heart. It's a great escape from the real world. Despite this, I would love to read a story by this author about normal, non gorgeous, middle income people.

Wonderful

How did I not know about author B.E. Baker until now!! Finding Spring is book 4 on the Finding Home series and it can be read as a standalone. In fact it’s the first Ive read in this series and I had no problem starting at book 4.This book had it all for me. Growth, mystery, family, beautiful friendships, ohh it was just so good! I loved Trudy’s relationship with her 4 year old son. Sometimes kids aren’t written as kids but he was perfect. I also loved the childhood diabetes rep that was in this book. I feel like I learned so much about it and how big of a challenge it would be. The banter between Trudy and Paul was so fun. I loved them together.Basically, I loved everything!!! I also got the three book set, so I can’t wait to jump into the next in the series.
